EOW #106 Final

So here's the final submission of my "Great Wall" concept. I'm pretty happy with it. I pulled out the reds on the dark side, due to the rainbow of colors that was resulting across the composition. I played around with some fancier strut supports for the wall, but less seemed to be more, so I used some basic structures from a dam photo. Hope you all enjoy. Rip it to shreds, IF YOU DARE!

  1. I lack the skittles to be competently critical of your work... but I can say, I really LIKE IT!

And, also, I like the birds you added to the light side.

You're at life drawing right now, and I'm bored and hungry. I can't wait to see what you've done!

  2. Whoa! This turned out awesome! The wall and cliff look very solid. I only have one minor suggestion, which is to tone down the saturation of the cliff in the far, far background. Nice work.

  3. P.S. Erika, your comment made me want skittles now...

  4. Thanks hon! Glad I could bring you some bedtime Wendy's.

Thanks Joel! I also want Skittles, now! I see what you're saying about the saturation. I plan to tweak it a bit more before I put it up in my portfolio, so that will be a good opportunity to take care of that issue. The next project is a "Personal Island Paradise." I want to go for more of a cartoon style on this one, so I'll be studying the island designs in your portfolio a bit. ;)

  5. just fixed, it and your advice made a world of difference. It helped the depth out a ton. I pulled a bit of color out of the distant purple mountains, too. This is why I need you! Thanks again.
